Queensland Opera in association with Queensland Performing Arts Centre and Brisbane Festival came to Scenery Makers Australia with a brand-new show in need of a set in time for the annual Brisbane Festival.
This set designed in a way to add visual cues, adding to the storytelling within the musical. This set was an intricate build with many moving elements, testing our team's ability to create a set that could be folded into a suitcase design.
Our scenic department were kept busy ensuring all elements of this set were aged to perfection, from boat sails to storage boxes this set matched perfectly.
We couldn't be happier with how this set turned out and were honoured to be a part of this Australian history telling musical.
