Our friends at Matt Ward Productions came to us with a once in a life-time theatrical set build - the set of Billy Elliot the musical. One of the most well-known musicals of the modern theatrical world. 

Much detail and work went into building this two-story set, our build and scenic teams were under the pump to create a very similar look to the scenery we all know from this iconic musical and match the incredible design work from designer Madeline Barlow. 

Scenery Makers Australia always strive to be as sustainable as possible for our builds, for this particular set we were able to repurpose old doors that would have otherwise gone to landfill. 

We were absolutely thrilled with how this set turned out, the team here at Scenery Makers Australia were over the moon to be invited to watch this production in person and see the set we constructed in action!
